The Rodneys: Best Design
Who says public defenders don’t dress well or look sloppy? You’d never know given the ways these public defender bloggers have dressed their blogs. These will be among the nominees for ‘Best Design’.
- The Imbroglio - Last year’s winner and deservedly so. This blog is among the best out there in terms of visual appeal, usability and dissemination of information in a non-cluttered way.
- The Rural Bus Route - This blog shows you what you can do with Blogger despite the inherent limitations. I bet you couldn’t even tell it was a Blogger blog.
- Swan Lake Samba Girl - The artist in her shines through her design of this blog. From the beautiful header image, to the liberal use of images throughout, this is a very visually pleasing blog.
- The Bardd Before The Bar - Just because WordPress gives you lots of themes, doesn’t mean people always know which ones to use and how to modify them. This is not one of those blogs.

I vote for http://apublicdefender.com/ & its sister blog http://pdstuff.apublicdefender.com. The Widgets are unbelievable. The design is clean. I have yet to get the infamous WP 500 error when loading. The site also loads fast. All these place it number one in my book.
Well, this is PD Stuff, so obviously that can’t be nominated. I’m curious: did you click on the old blogspot link and just didn’t notice that it redirected here? I’ve been wondering for a while if people are doing that regularly.
The Bardd doth render thanks for thy seal of approval. If nothing else, I do try to maintain a sense of individual style and grace. OK, so I fail on the grace thing a little bit. The nomination is still an ego boost of the first order.
Good to know that *someone* is reading me besides my own personal crew and clan.
