Voting has ended!

Voting for The Rodneys has now ended! Thank you to everyone for the tremendous support. I don’t know how many voted last year, but this year we had an average of 60 votes per category! That’s phenomenal for such a small community as ours.

There will be a results thread soon and I’ll have a badge for you to proudly display on your own blog.

Voting begins on Wednesday

Just a quick reminder to everyone, now that all the nomination threads have gone live, the actual voting (yes, yes, I know) will begin on Wednesday. I’ve updated the polls plugin, so things will be easier (hopefully). As Greg said last year, given that we are pds, we’ll probably end up getting 10 votes and if we don’t, I’ll pick the winners.

If you want to avoid that, remember to vote! Also, spread the word! I mean, like everywhere. Go and comment and tell people to come vote. E-mail your long lost cousin and while you do, extol the virtues of public defenders and ask them to vote. If you don’t have any cousins, don’t worry. Just vote.

Okay, well, you don’t have to do that. Just plug the Rodneys on your blog and remember to come by every day to vote.

Wednesday. Voting Begins. Your country depends on you.

Figure that one out.

The Rodneys: Best Design

Who says public defenders don’t dress well or look sloppy? You’d never know given the ways these public defender bloggers have dressed their blogs. These will be among the nominees for ‘Best Design’.

  • The Imbroglio - Last year’s winner and deservedly so. This blog is among the best out there in terms of visual appeal, usability and dissemination of information in a non-cluttered way.
  • The Rural Bus Route - This blog shows you what you can do with Blogger despite the inherent limitations. I bet you couldn’t even tell it was a Blogger blog.
  • Swan Lake Samba Girl - The artist in her shines through her design of this blog. From the beautiful header image, to the liberal use of images throughout, this is a very visually pleasing blog.
  • The Bardd Before The Bar - Just because WordPress gives you lots of themes, doesn’t mean people always know which ones to use and how to modify them. This is not one of those blogs.
  • ???
