Congratulations to John Meynink, who is retiring after 30 years as a lawyer, most of them as a public defender in Coos Bay, Oregon. He worked his way up quickly:
Before he pursued a career in law, he followed his wife to Venezuela to teach for two years until finally, in 1983, he found a job here as a public defender. Five years later, he was named director and was running the place.
Meynink spent about 20 years as a PD, coming back to it after ten years in private practice. Sounds like a great career. Enjoy your retirement, Counselor!
